Free Events at Biggar Library this November!

14 November 2026

I'm delighted to be heading to Biggar Library for a free double event this November!

Sticky Mildred

For ages 2+, meet Mildred Honeyfur – the stickiest creature who ever lived!

Mildred LOVES being sticky and HATES having a bath. She loves ALL the sticky things, and sets off to find the stickiest, gooiest, ickiest things in the whole world. But when Mildred gets too sticky, she finds herself in an enormous sticky ball, out of control, and hurtling towards the city…

A silly cautionary tale of all the best and most sticky things in the world, and why sometimes — sometimes — you just have to have a bath, hilariously illustrated by the brilliant RIKIN PAREKH (Totally Chaotic History, This Book Has Alpacas, Fly Tiger Fly).

I Am Wolf

And for older kids…

In a savage world where huge technological Constructs fight for territory, all Coll has ever wanted is to live on Wolf and be part of her crew. But when a new and dangerous Construct attacks, Coll’s life is changed forever. Thrown clear and left stranded, he’ll do anything to get back to Wolf. But as Coll learns a new way to survive, he starts to question everything he’s been taught.

Can he find Wolf again? And if he does … will he still belong?

Join me at Biggar Library for these FREE events – I can't wait to meet you all!
