In this world, all adult humans have contracted the 'werewolf' virus, and transform into ravenous beasts every full moon. For the children, it's a night of freedom from parental control, with Mum and Dad locked in cages in each home. But you'd better hope Mum doesn't get free…
This is a lot of fun! Willis steadily piles up layers of distrust, misdirection, conspiracy theories and outright lies as the characters try to work out why their world doesn't seem to make sense. Just as you get to the bottom of one plot, it turns into something deeper. And all the time, the threat of snarling death is just a moment away. Great stuff – a howling success! (sorry).
